Six Senses Crans-Montana is on track for making its debut, just in time for the 2022-23 winter season, at the end of the year.
The year-round slope-side property promises to combine vitality, serenity and adventure in a space featuring luxury accommodation, inspired culinary concepts and a restorative spa.
Crans-Montana is a popular draw year-round for its sunny south-facing slopes, glacier skiing and central hub combining cultural venues, gastronomic restaurants and upscale boutiques.
This new Six Senses resort will provide a luxurious new year-round retreat offering ski-in ski-out access in winter from its position above the main gondola.
The resort has been designed to have a Swiss chalet feel and forge a connection between the outdoor environment and indoor space. The resort’s 45 rooms and suites are surrounded on three sides by nature and their windows and terraces provide views over the Valais valley.
The interiors reflect their surroundings through the use of natural materials such as quartzite stone, local larch, oak and slate. Bespoke furnishings have been made from solid woods and natural fabrics.
During their stay, guests will be able to dine at a signature Japanese restaurant drawing inspiration from the spirit of Byakko – Japan’s mythical white mountain tiger. The bar will serve sake blends and cocktails while the all-day dining brasserie, Wild Cabin, serves Swiss dishes with panoramic views from an open terrace.
The on-site Six Senses Spa will focus on recovery and restoration for guests coming in from time spent on the mountain. The spa’s nine treatment rooms will be joined by an innovative Stretch Pod, The Biohack Recovery Lounge, fitness facilities and a yoga studio, as well as an indoor-outdoor pool, rooftop pool, steam room, hammam, hot tub and cold plunge pool.
Guests benefit from ski concierge, among other services, and business travellers will be catered for with a business centre featuring conference facilities.
The development also incorporates 17 residences, of which 13 can be bought by international buyers as a second home. Encompassing between three and five bedrooms, these apartments come with home maintenance and hospitality services as well as private parking and access to the resort amenities.
