South Korea announced new unilateral sanctions against North Korea for the first time in five years on Friday, designating more than 30 DPRK individuals and organizations in protest of its accelerated missile testing.
The new measures, which aim to stifle Pyongyang’s weapons programs, designate persons and entities already covered by existing U.S. and U.N. sanctions, according to Seoul’s foreign ministry.
