The Graduate Hotel Bloomington offers sci-fi fans an immersive experience with its Stranger Things Inspired hotel suite, which has multiple rooms.
Fans of Stranger Things can now take their love for the series one step further – by staying in a hotel suite inspired by the show. After four impressive seasons, the Duffer Brothers-created Netflix behemoth has once again managed to become the talk of the Internet. Though seasons 2 and 3 had shakier (though still largely positive) reviews than the sci-fi show's debut season, Stranger Things season 4 has generated even more buzz than its predecessors and proved that the '80s-inspired hit has the capacity to evolve.
The memorable Stranger Things season 4 finale saw the death of beloved newcomer Eddie Munson as well as the grave injury of staple character Max. The end of the season also saw irreparable damage done to Hawkins, as cracks tore through the ground and the Upside Down invaded the town. The Stranger Things creators previously stated that season 5 will be the show's final season, but with multiple years between season 3 and 4, it's not clear how long that season will take to grace the small screen.
During the wait for Stranger Things season 5, Graduate Hotels Bloomington has the perfect way for fans to keep the Stranger Things hype strong. The hotel offers a Stranger Things-inspired suite that includes two rooms – one modeled after the Byers' house and one after the Wheelers' basement. With 2 sleeping options (a pull-out sofa and king-sized bed), the suite can sleep up to 4, according to the hotel's website. The room currently costs about $274 a night before taxes and fees and each stay in the room includes 'The Upside Down Experience' package, which offers guests a Polaroid camera, bikes for exploring the Indiana city, Eggo waffles, and two tickets to the WonderLab Science Museum. The hotel also donates 11% of the room's bookings to that same museum, keeping curiosity alive and well in the scientific community. Dustin would certainly approve.
Based on pictures from the website, the hotel has managed to perfectly recreate the iconic living room in the Byers' residence from multiple seasons of the show, featuring the Christmas lights from season 1 and the tunnel map drawings plastering the walls from season 2. The decor, down to the wall-paper and throw blankets, is spot-on, and the Wheeler basement room is no different, including retro board games, walkie-talkies, a Dungeons & Dragons set (with Will's costume), and Eleven's cozy blanket fort. In their commitment to full immersion to the '80s theme, there are no TVs with streaming capabilities in the suite. The suite was clearly made by a fan of the series and is a great way to celebrate the show's legacy.
The perfect experience for spooky season, the hotel has stated that the room will be open to fans as long as Stranger Things is running. Though season 5 is in the works, there is no official release date yet. Luckily, the Duffers have said that there will be less of a gap between seasons this time around. While fans wait for news on Stranger Things season 5, they can rest assured that the Stranger Things suite in the Graduate Hotels Bloomington isn't going anywhere, for now.
