Nelson’s devastating floods have seen the Student Volunteer Army kick into action.
The national charity run for students, by students, Student Volunteer Army (SVA) is teaming up with Nelson College to help people in the Nelson region after floods have affected many families.
More than 50 students have already committed to providing support, and more volunteers are welcome to sign up, with the first working bee taking place on Saturday.

Volunteers will meet at Botanic Sports Fields in Nelson between 9am and 11am to be assigned a property or project to support.
