Aims to Boost Partnerships in ASEAN Region by expanding Taiwan's MedTech industry through advanced biotech and pharmaceuticals capabilities

Medical Fair Asia 2022 brought 14th International Exhibition on Hospital, Diagnostic, Pharmaceutical, Medical & Rehabilitation equipment supplies as a onsite event in Singapore from 31Aug to 2 Sep. The exhibition will have a week-long digital extension till 09 September.
Over three days, the Taiwan Excellence Pavillion displayed a range of Taiwan Excellence Award-winning surgical devices, medical and dental navigation solutions, Point-Of-Care Technology and decentralized medicine and mobility scooters that were brought to Medical Fair Asia 2022 by 10 of the country’s prominent innovators.
This marked Taiwan’s inaugural participation at Southeast Asia’s leading trade exhibition for the medical and health care industry. Renowned Taiwanese companies such as BENQ, Insight Medical Solutions, EPED Inc, Winnoz Technology and iXensor came together to lead the products showcase.
“Through this medical fair, our goal was to ensure that all our exhibitors form a deeper connection with the ASEAN market, and the outcome is more than expected. The success stories of Thaiwanese enterprenuers have played a vital role in sealing Taiwan’s name as a global innovation leader in the MedTech field, Medical Fair Asia is beneficial as a platform to showcase their advanced capabilities in biotech and pharmaceuticals to the region. We are looking forward to introducing more of the best of Taiwan’s MedTech to the larger industry and expanding to other regions as well” said Ms Wu Yi Ling, Director of Taiwan Trade Center Singapore.
Emmanuel Lespron, Regional Manager of EPED Inc., said, “Taiwan Excellence supported usin the trade shows by providing a platform to connect with our target customers and expand into new regions. We believe that Medical Fair Asia is a must for us due to the proximity of the SEA countries to Taiwan.”
Gustavo Kao, Director of Wellell Inc., Asia Pacific Department, added, “Our products have garnered the interest of buyers of Southeast Asia, Australia, India and the Middle East, and it’s beyond what we expected. We also caught the eye of several distributors, doctors and even nurses who came by to enquire about our Optima Prone, which was designed to make the work of caregivers more efficient. We are already looking forward to bringing more of our innovations to the next Medical Fair Asia.”
