Norwich City have eight players away on international duty after defenders Grant Hanley and Andrew Omobamidele withdrew from the Scotland and Republic of Ireland squads due to injury
Norwich City have eight players away on international duty with 18 fixtures to look forward to.
Canaries entre-backs Grant Hanley and Andrew Omobamidele were called up to the Scotland and Republic of Ireland squads respectively, but both have had to withdraw due to injury. Hanley needed injections to get through the fixture against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday after sustaining a shoulder injury versus Bristol City in midweek, whereas Omobamidele has a groin issue.
Kenny McLean remains with the Scotland squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures. Scotland face Republic of Ireland at Hampden Park on Saturday (September 24) between fixtures against Ukraine home and away.

Steve Clarke’s side currently occupy second-place in Group B1 with six points, with Ukraine only ahead by a single point. Republic of Ireland are third with four points whereas Armenia are bottom of the group with three points.
Last season’s top scorer Teemu Pukki will be looking to add to his record as Finland’s all-time top goalscorer, with the Norwich striker currently on 36. Finland are currently third in Group B3 but can still qualify for promotion if they claim victories against Romania (home) and Montenegro (away) and Bosnia and Herzegovina fail to win.
Danel Sinani is closing in on a 50th international cap for Luxembourg but will only reach 49 appearances with fixtures against Turkey (away) and Lithuania (home). Luxembourg cannot be relegated from League C but promotion will be beyond them if they fail to win both games.
After a year out of the USA squad, Josh Sargent will be looking to cement his place with USMNT before the World Cup in November. The 22-year-old earned his spot in Gregg Berhalter’s squad after scoring six Championship goals for the Canaries ahead of international friendlies against Japan and Saudi Arabia in Germany and Spain respectively.
Summer signing Marcelino Nunez could reach double figures in caps for Chile. The 22-year-old has nine appearances for the South American nation ahead of friendly clashes against Morocco (in Spain) and Qatar (in Austria).
Max Aarons, who has 18 caps for England at under-21 level, has been selected in Lee Carsley’s squad for friendlies against Italy (away) and Germany (home). Aston Villa loanee Aaron Ramsey could play three games at the Pinatar Arena in Spain for England U20’s against Chile, Morocco and Australia. Scotland youth Flynn Clarke has also been called up to the U21 squad for a double header against Northern Ireland home and away.
