Perth’s plant-based dining options continue to grow with vegan and vegetarian eateries offering everything from quick grab and go bites, to dine-in and even drive through!
This list just scratches the surface, but here are our must-try vegan and vegetarian spots around Perth.

This Beaufort Street haunt is known for specialising in vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free meals. They make fresh salads, fresh juices, veggie burgers, and takeaway meals. Be sure to head there for a belly warming breakfast, and they’re also known for making vegan gnocchi.

Hidden in West Leederville, these guys not only make amazing coffee, but their vegan baked treats are not to be missed – you have to try one of Myrtle Ivy’s freshly baked, vegan buttered pumpkin and chive scones. This café is great for a bite to eat on the run, or you can sit down for one of their vegan and gluten-free dine-in options.
3 Northwood Street, West Leederville
In the heart of Northbridge is Flora & Fauna, a cute little café that serves veggie and vegan dishes, that a bursting with colours. They’re known for their vegan brunch, in particular their vegan waffles, and they also have a vegan hightea. Menu highlights include their vegan maple berry pancakes and takeaway treats, think peanut butter and jelly vegan blondies and cookies. You can dine-in or takeaway.
4/70 Aberdeen Street, Northbridge
You don’t even have to get out of your car to order the health meals from Nourish & Feed. The popular drive through café serve a tasty vegan and gluten-free cocowhip breakfast bowl, with granola and fresh fruit, vegan brownies, raw treats, bliss balls, salad bowls, chickpea and falafel wraps. There’s also smoothies, fresh juices and coffee.

There are so many Asian inspired vegan and gluten-free dishes on this menu, you’ll want them all. Tonic & Ginger’s menu is designed to share and graze, and the one dish you have to try is the fire cracker cauliflower, which comes with spicy bang bang sauce. There’s also tempura broccoli; steamed silken tofu with sticky satay; wok tossed rice noodles with tofu and more.
The Old Synagogue, 92 South Terrace, Fremantle
The menu here is inspired by the backstreets of Asia and the gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian dishes are packed with flavour. From wood-roasted snake beans with peanuts and doenjang sauce, to kimchi dumplings with pumpkin ssamjang, dandanmeon noodles with oyster mushrooms or vegan duck bulgogi – everyone’s sure to be happy at Double Rainbow.
The Rechabite, 224 William Street, Perth
Seriously, the food at this restaurant is bursting with flavour and the majority of the menu is vegan friendly. Your tastebuds will thank you for ordering the spiced corn fritters from the Hawker Bites menu and from the Street Plates menu, there are the drunken noodles with shiitake, or traditional pad Thai with tofu. Even their sides are delicious, with a special mention of the wok friend greens with garlic, ginger and teriyaki.

Where to start with this little Cambridge Street café. The Pearth menu cates for gluten intolerant, vegan and vegetarian dietaries. The breakfast hash is a hearty dish, while their sweet potato and carrot fritters are stacked high, and the apple pie pancakes are fluffy. If you’re on the run, there are takeaway sweet and savoury options, but the menu changes all the time so it’s always a surprise. Our tip? Try the vegan cheesecakes and cakes.
106C Cambridge Street, West Leederville
Did someone say cake? Vegan carrot cake to be specific. The best thing about this cake is that you can order it by the slice or the whole cake. The menu at The Clean Food Store constantly changes, one day it’s a vegan falafel and vegan wraps, and the next they’re serving vegan mac and cheese with garlic mushrooms. They also have salads, muffins and food to grab and go.

Having moved from their digs in Wembley to a bustling store on Scarborough Beach Road in Osborne Park, you’ll still find an impressive selection of dine-in and takeaway options for vegans and vegetarians at The ‘Pear’fect Pantry. Daily vegan pancake specials, tofu scramble, zucchini fritters, crispy cracked potatoes… Not to mention the cabinet full of sweet treats!

Govinda’s has been serving up delicious Indian vegetarian food for more than a decade now, with full course meals capped at around $10 and even cheaper for takeaway. Think huge servings of vegetarian curries with pappadums, daal… the works! As an added bonus you’ll always get incredibly friendly service with a smile, to go with all the goodness you’re putting inside you.

From the man behind one of our all time favourite food trucks, Eat No Evil, La Cabaña soared into our hearts and our summers from the get-go. And while it should come as no surprise their food menu is delish, their tequila and mezcal offerings also pack a punch – just make sure you pack a sombrero for their sunny South Freo alfresco area. With most of the menu dairy, gluten and nut-free, plus with heaps of vegan options as well, it’s the perfect spot for a big group of mates.
400 South Terrace, South Fremantle
If it’s a healthy meal you’re chasing that still packs plenty of flavour, head to Source Foods on the corner of Beaufort and Brisbane Street. A quiet little cafe filled with heaps of nourishing goodness, everything has a gluten free option and there’s almost as much in the way of vego and vegan options. The breakfast board with dippy eggs and soldiers is tough to beat though!

It would be torture to see all the delicious non-vegan baked goodies all over Perth… If not for Carina’s Kitchen, that is. After years as a market favourite, the star baker has moved into a permanent location in Mount Hawthorn’s The Mezz, serving up even more of her signature Insta-ready vegan cakes and sweet treats, as well as a few new savoury bites. (If you really want to make someone’s day, order them a pretty as a picture delivery box.)

Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of William Street, you’ll find Ramen Ichiraku. These guys are passionate about bringing the comfort of ramen to everyone: as well as their signature 12-hour tonkotsu broth, they also offer a vegan broth made with a combination of vegetables, mushrooms and kombu. But that’s not all – they also offer an entire! Vegan! Menu! That’s right, an entire vegan menu, covering all the bases from faux chicken karaage and gyoza to bento boxes.
