DigitalOcean Unveils 5th Generation Intel Xeon Processors

5th Generation Xeon Processors are now available at DigitalOcean DigitalOcean is proud to announce the release of the fifth generation of Intel’s Xeon Scalable Processors (codenamed Emerald Rapids) to the DigitalOcean premium dedicated fleet! As the newest generation of processors in Intel’s product line, Digitalocean users and their customers will see significant performance and experience improvements. Available now in SFO3 and AMS3, with more data centers coming soon!

Managed OpenSearch

DigitalOcean Managed OpenSearch is now available as a Database-as-a-Service offering. This solution provides a secure and easy-to-use platform for ingesting, searching, and analyzing large volumes of data. Set up a fully-managed OpenSearch cluster in minutes and gain access to automated log management and searchability capabilities.

Additional Nodes and Support for Using Standby Nodes for Read Requests for Managed Database for Redis®*

You can now add up to two additional nodes to your Redis cluster and use standby nodes for read requests. These two new features bring heightened scalability, enhanced availability, and improved performance of Redis clusters without impacting the write performance of the cluster’s primary node.

Support for MongoDB 7.0

DigitalOcean now supports MongoDB 7.0, allowing users to spin up new MongoDB 7.0 clusters or upgrade existing MongoDB 6.0 clusters. This feature release offers enhanced performance, a smoother migration, and improved security.
