Let’s be honest — there are a LOT of Disney World restaurants to choose from.
We have loads of favorite restaurants around property, and we love getting to experience EPCOT’s festival booths like little restaurants as well. But there are some restaurants that are incredible but just don’t get enough attention. We asked YOU, our readers on Facebook which lesser-known restaurants they recommend, and you didn’t disappoint!
We specifically asked our readers to give us table service restaurants outside of the Disney World parks, so we’re focusing on the resorts and Disney Springs!
You all recommended MULTIPLE different restaurants over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, starting with Jiko!
Jiko is Fusion and African cuisine that highlights flatbreads, dips, soups, salads, creative entrees, and a South African wine list. This restaurant is just open for dinner from 5PM-9:30PM.
Boma is also on this list, which is no surprise to us. You can dine here for breakfast or dinner as it captures the essence of the African marketplace with its buffet-style meal.
Instead of normal buffet-style, you grab food in “pods,” where each pod has a selection of food and a chef nearby to answer questions!
Breakfast is served from 7:30AM-11:30AM and dinner is served from 5PM-9:30PM.
The last restaurant our readers said over at Animal Kingdom Lodge is Sanaa! This restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and serves up African and Indian cuisine.
The bread service is something that’s especially beloved among guests, so that’s a highlight for sure.
So all in all, Animal Kingdom Lodge is a great place to go for dining!
Our readers also said that they enjoy the Yachtsman Steakhouse over at Disney’s Yacht Club, which is open for dinner.
This is an upscale steakhouse. Many of our readers love the steak here, but there are also plenty of options for the family members who aren’t a fan of steak. This is a very popular steakhouse, so be sure to grab those reservations ahead of time or you can try to walk-up day of at an off time.
Over in Disney Springs, Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ is another huge favorite of our readers! This restaurant features farm-to-fork cuisine that showcases the bounty of Florida with Southern favorites like cheese-laced drop biscuits, Smith’s world-famous fried chicken, and exceptional macaroni and cheese.
The comfort food at this table service restaurant is the highlight, but people are also big fans of the atmosphere as well.
The other spot our readers love in Disney Springs is The Boathouse. This is an upscale, waterfront dining experience featuring spectacular floating artwork, and features food with the freshest ingredients from the land and sea — so the menu isn’t always the same!
Inside the Boathouse, you can visit The Captain’s Raw Bar, The Admiral’s Club Bar, and The Dockside Bar, and get some amazing views of Disney Springs.
And there you have it — six restaurants that our readers say you HAVE to try, and we agree! We know there’s a lot of restaurant news out there and it can be confusing — here’s some of the most recent Orlando restaurant news to keep you up-to-date.
Stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest Disney news!
