If you’ve been to Singapore’s famed Orchard Road in the past couple of months, you’ll definitely have seen the new Hilton Singapore Orchard that overlooks the whole street. If it looks massive, it’s because it is — at 1,080 rooms, it’s the largest Hilton hotel in Asia Pacific to date! Here’s a tour of the shiny new space and all that it offers to guests:
Hassle-free booking and checking in
You know when you’ve just gotten off a long flight or journey, and all that might be keeping you going is the promise of a warm shower and a large bed with fresh sheets — then, when you reach your hotel, and there’s a snaking line of other guests trying to check in, and you’ll have to wait yet another hour before gaining access to your comfortable room. Trust us, we know how that feels. Thankfully, the Hilton Honors mobile app is available to all Hilton Honors members – through the app, members can choose their preferred rooms, and even use their devices as a Digital Key to unlock their doors and elevators. Seriously, why isn’t this a thing at every hotel? Don’t worry, you don’t need to have travelled long and far to access this – both membership sign-ups and app downloads are free!
All the amenities you could wish for
Besides being situated in the heart of Singapore’s renowned shopping district, Hilton Singapore Orchard has a broad range of facilities and amenities you could ever want while on holiday or a staycation. Here’s the lowdown: an outdoor pool elevated above the street-level Orchard Road. Two 24-hour fitness centers, outfitted with all the latest equipment for you to work up a sweat. A direct connection to the neighboring Mandarin Gallery to satisfy the most discerning of shoppers.
Guests and Hilton Honors members staying in the Executive Rooms enjoy exclusive access to Hilton Singapore Orchard’s tastefully furnished and well-stocked Executive Lounge. With tons of space and amenities – such as a private meeting room with space for 12, complimentary breakfast, evening cocktails, and refreshments throughout the day – the lounge is perfect for business guests that may need an area for work or smaller meetings, as well as families looking for a tea break in the middle of the day.
A room with a view
The rooms at Hilton Singapore Orchard all have sweeping views of Orchard Road belt or the city – you’ll be able to soak in the glittering skyline of one of Southeast Asia’s ultimate shopping belts. You can get dressed, stroll over to Takashimaya, 313@Somerset or any of the other malls, shop to your heart’s content, return your bags to your room, and repeat. With the location in mind, rooms are also designed with the avid shopper in mind. The open-concept wardrobe and dresser enable you to showcase your hauls in style, well-placed mirrors and lighting let you practically hold your own impromptu fashion shoots, and even the bathroom’s reflective black walls are reminiscent of luxury retail stores.
Speaking of thoughtful rooms – to help decrease energy consumption and general environmental footprint, in-room motion, air conditioning and light sensors are installed in every room. Hilton Honors members can also receive complimentary upgrades where eligible, as well as lock in confirmed connecting rooms before even arriving at the hotel – perfect for large families or group holidays!
We’re eating good
It won’t come as a surprise that the five in-house dining venues at Hilton Singapore Orchard each bring their own distinct and remarkable experiences to the table. Estate is an all-day restaurant showcasing flavors from around the world, with multiple residential-style open kitchens so diners can watch their meals whipped up from scratch. Estate blends the abundance of a buffet with the attention to detail of an à la carte-style restaurant, with kitchens highlighting Noodle & Wrap, Raw & Seafood, Grill, and more.
Want a more Instagrammable venue? Head to Ginger.Lily, where the botanical theme of its namesake is highlighted in every aspect – from the cathedral-inspired door panels, high ceilings of the airy lounge reminiscent of the plant’s widespread petals, to the various plant-based dining alternatives for vegan and vegetarian diners, as well as the afternoon tea, artisanal cakes and craft cocktails using a range of herbs, flowers and spices inspired by Orchard Road’s plantation past. The real highlight at Ginger.Lily, though, is their unique afternoon tea experience — we don’t want to dish out any spoilers, but diners will be taken through a four-part journey through Savory, Sweet, Thirst, and Take Me Home.
Ready to check all of this out for yourself? Sign up to be a Hilton Honors member to get the most out of your stay, and then make a booking either through the Hilton Singapore Orchard website or the Hilton Honors app. Additionally, dine #LikeAMember at participating Hilton restaurants and bars, and enjoy exclusive members-only discounts and privileges.
