Good news: There is a high demand for the Ford Bronco
Bad news: Thousands are stuck at a holding site due to the microchip shortage
We all knew that both the automotive industry and customers have been feeling the pinch for the last couple of years as a result of the global shortage of semiconductors. But with the news of thousands of Ford Broncos being held in a storage lot outside a Michigan Assembly Plant, online users have since dubbed it “Ice Mountain.”

While Ford continues production for the Bronco, many units like the ones seen above are awaiting delivery of the microchips before final delivery.
However, due to the semiconductor shortage, it was reported that the automaker will be cutting production on the Bronco, as well as the Explorer, F-150, Ranger, Mustang Mach-E, and Lincoln Aviator at their plants in Michigan, Illinois, Missouri, and Mexico.
