MINSK, 23 August (BelTA) – The development and strengthening of mutually beneficial relations with Belarus remains one of the important areas of Kyrgyzstan’s foreign policy, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Torobaev said as he met with Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Anatoly Sivak on 23 August, BelTA has learned.
Bakyt Torobaev thanked Anatoly Sivak for hospitality. “We are very grateful for the eventful program of our visit. I had time to visit the leading enterprises of Belarus, including MTZ and the Belarusian Railways Transportation Control Center. I was impressed. We discussed promising issues of our cooperation, found common ground to jointly develop further,” he emphasized.
“The development and strengthening of mutually beneficial relations with Belarus remains one of the important areas of Kyrgystan’s foreign policy. This year marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between our states,” the deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers said.
According to him, Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov attaches great importance to the comprehensive development and strengthening of cooperation with Belarus. “I ask you to convey warm words of greetings to Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and the best wishes on behalf of our president,” he said.
Bakyt Torobaev handed Anatoly Sivak a personal message from Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov for Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko with an invitation to take part in the CIS Heads of State Council meeting due in Bishkek in October.
