There are amazing playgrounds all over the country that are free to enjoy, with different themes, whether it be in forests or in cities, with water activities or climbing paths or petanque terrains, or all of the above. Luxembourg has some of the best playgrounds compared to all its neighboring countries and maybe you should organize a little outing with the kids to try an visit all of them, a nice little challenge!
If you ask me, I really think Luxembourg is a playground paradise.

Luxembourg is probably the only country in the world in which public transport is for free.
Take trains, trams and buses with the children, show them good practices. Help them recognize spots in the cities, different streets, play a game of recognizing car brands by looking from the windows of the vehicle, or reach your favorite destination in the north or the south of the country. You can also just enjoy the air condition in the tram on a hot summer day…
One of the museums you can visit for free is the Muerbelsmillen, The Mustard Museum.
The old mustard fabric is a museum with free entrance, where visitors can explore the old water mill, authentic items and documents explaining the process of mustard making as well packaging, invoices and more.
The Museum is open every Saturday and Sunday between 2pm and 6pm.
Adress: 69, rue de Mohrfels, L-2158 Luxembourg
Check the following link for more info.
Be sure to check the website as there are days and times when the visits are for free.

As most of you know, Luxembourg has some amazing hiking trails all around the country that are great to enjoy with the children. Forests, rivers, lakes, bridges, picturesque little villages, thematic hiking trails, everything is available in Luxembourg.
You can also have nice picnics, games, do family photo shoots, enjoy star-gazing or cloud-gazing, do a mushroom discovery tour (don’t cut or eat mushrooms if you are not a mycologist, it can be dangerous). Anything you can think of basically, as long as you respect the nature and its inhabitants, the fauna and flora.
Nature is free but must be respected.
