The D.C. Circuit declined to reconsider its decision to largely uphold a judge’s order limiting former President Donald Trump’s statements about people involved in the federal case accusing him of plotting to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Trump can appeal the ruling to the U.S. Supreme Court, his last remaining hope of overturning limits on his public statements about potential witnesses, prosecutors and court staff involved in the case. The decision comes the same day as New Hampshire’s pivotal primary election where voters will choose whether to give Donald Trump a smooth glide to the Republican presidential nomination or bolster rival Nikki Haley’s longshot bid to topple him.
