UNDP, KOICA and Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare sign USD 11 million partnership to support UXO sector in Lao PDR
Over the last decade, Lao PDR has enjoyed high levels of economic growth which have contributed significantly to the country’s socio-economic development. At the same time, however, the growth has strained the environment and other aspects of the country as a trade-off.
As a national UXO operator, today, 62 Humanitarian Demining Teams of the Lao People’s Army (Unit 58) trainees marked their successful accomplishment of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Level 1 training course.
