The Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter in Marquette County is offering discounted microchips for pet owners to take advantage of.
These microchips can help identify pets if they run away. This UPAWS & 24PetWatch’s Discount Microchip Clinic started Monday and will continue until 100 discount microchips are sold. They’re $10 each, and available only to Marquette County residents. One $10 microchip is available per household, and you can buy more for other pets for $25 each.
Dogs, cats, and bunnies must be over eight weeks old, and pet owners must be over 18 years old. The owner will need to bring ID and must sign up for an appointment at: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080e4ba4a722a4fc1-chip. Call 475-6661 or email info@upaws.org for answers to other questions.
