Vanessa Feltz has compared Prince Harry and Prince William’s physical altercation to a normal family Christmas, saying that it seems more ‘serious’ than it actually is.
The Duke of Sussex has alleged that he was involved in a bust up with the future King after he branded his wife Meghan Markle ‘difficult’, ‘rude’, and ‘abrasive’, according to a leaked excerpt from his upcoming memoir Spare.
Prince Harry has said the row escalated and William ‘grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and … knocked me to the floor’.
Discussing the allegations on This Morning, Vanessa seemed to shrug off the story, comparing it to every other family.
‘Am I the only person who thinks that all of this is so skewed and weird, because we’re talking now about fisty-cuffs, violent altercations, William grabs Harry and rips off his necklace, Harry breaks the dog bowl, serious, serious,’ Vanessa began.
She continued: ‘But think back to everyone’s Christmas! As soon as you go back home to your family, you start to behave like you do when you were 12, six, and three, you know you do.
‘Everybody reverts back to childhood. How many people – I’m not saying got into a really deep punch up and violently attack relatives – but who didn’t just [hit] your sister over the Christmas, or grab a present and give a bit of a kick.’
‘But how many people put it in a book?’ This Morning guest Camilla Tominey questioned, to which Vanessa replied: ‘That’s what I mean! What I’m saying is the fact that it’s in the book, and the fact that it’s got all of this very serious attention all over the world and will continue to get it, don’t you think it makes it seem serious when really it’s the kind of thing that in most families you wouldn’t even remember!’

She added: ‘You wouldn’t say in ten years, “Remember that time you pushed me,” come off it!’
Details of Prince Harry’s physical feud with Prince William were revealed by the Guardian, with the publication claiming the ‘extraordinary scene’ is ‘one of many in Spare’ which is due to be published on January 10.

The newspaper said it was able to obtain a copy of the book despite ‘stringent pre-launch security around the book’.
