The Bombardier 7500 is the same type of plane Kylie Jenner owns.
If you’ve been on social media lately, it’s hard to miss the discussion around Kylie Jenner’s pink private jet. The reality star and beauty mogul shared videos and images of the posh plane, and jaws dropped across the planet. Well, it turns out the jet is a Bombardier Global 7500, and there are only 100 in the world. So, it was a particularly monumental milestone when VistaJet—a private jet membership service—announced yesterday that it now owns 10% of all the world’s Global 7500 aircraft.
Dubbed the “Ferrari of the Skies,” VistaJet now offers 10 of these record-breaking planes to its customer base, making it easy for them to access the far reaches of the world. That’s because the 7500 can fly 7,700 nautical miles at a time, making it possible to reach 187 countries or 96% of the world in a single flight. For context, that means passengers can fly nonstop from São Paulo to the Maldives in 15 hours and 43 minutes flight time) or Los Angeles to Hong Kong in 14 hours 50 minutes, a rarity in private aviation.
There’s a full bedroom in the plane.
And the flight itself is extremely comfortable. It’s the only business jet with four distinct living spaces, including a rear private bedroom, a seating area, a cinema space, and a dining table for six. Plus, it has the Soleil lighting system that adjusts to optimize the passengers’ circadian rhythms. In addition, it flies at a higher altitude (up to 51,000 feet) than commercial jets, allowing the ride to be faster and smoother.
“Our client base desires to go point to point nonstop,” said Thomas Flohr, VistaJet’s founder, and chairman. “And what do people want on long-haul flights? They want to sleep and eat well to be rested to conduct business. This airplane gives you the space—including a permanent back bedroom—and the quietness. All of that didn’t exist in one aircraft before Bombardier created the 7500.”
There’s room for six people to eat on the luxe plane.
What’s more, is Flohr had a heavy hand in the design process of his fleet to ensure every detail enhanced the flying experience allowing passengers to feel refreshed even after 16 hours. For example, he opted for brown hues to create a natural, neutral, and soothing environment while adding hints of warmth through accessories like blankets and pillows. And Flohr opted for a matte wood finish because it elicits a sense of calm.
“I wanted every plane to have the look and feel of home,” said Flohr. “That’s in the design and service. It’s about understanding who you are while not overdoing it. The ultimate luxury is if the company serving you understands that and works to create a peaceful and wonderful experience.”
The interiors are super spacious.
Although VistaJet already owns 10 percent of the 7500 fleet, it plans to add seven more by the end of 2022. Flohr said, “We have the demand.”
