MINSK, 18 August (BelTA) – Russia is not fighting the Ukrainian people but the Nazism that has raised its head, State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Aleksandr Volfovich told reporters before the plenary session of the 2nd International Anti-Fascist Congress taking place in Minsk, BelTA has learned.
“Today, when the geopolitical situation has reached the boiling point, such forums as the International Anti-Fascist Congress are very needed. These events shine light on the problems that exist today. Not only Belarus and Russia are concerned about security problems. Less than 80 years have passed since the last world war, which brought a lot of grief to the whole world. Belarus is an intelligent and calm country, but we must talk about the historical facts. W need to talk about some facts, for example that Hilfspolizeis from some neighboring states ranked on a par with the Nazi invaders during the Great Patriotic War,” Aleksandr Volfovich said.
A hybrid war is being waged against Belarus and Russia, he noted. “Today they are trying to turn the history upside down. The heirs of the Nazis again started talking about neo-Nazism. Humanity began to forget about who liberated the world from the terrible plague,” Aleksandr Volfovich said.
During the special operation in Ukraine Russia is not fighting the Ukrainian people but fascism and neo-Nazism which have raised their heads, Aleksandr Volfovich noted. “It should be understand that apart from the Aryan race, the Nazis did not recognize or respect anyone,” he concluded.
