Foreign Home Buyers Are Withdrawing From Turkey
Foreign buyers purchased 3,350 homes in Turkey in February, a 27% decline year over year, according to the latest data from the Turkish Statistical Institute. Russians were the top non-citizen buyers, accounting for 1,183 purchases. Iranians bought 446 houses, while Iraqis and Ukrainians bought 173 and 142 houses, respectively. In terms of regional distribution, the Mediterranean province of Antalya ranked first with 1,261 sales to foreigners, followed by Istanbul with 1,133 sales. Hurriyet Daily News
China’s Real Estate Market Shows Signs of Stabilization
Major Chinese cities reported rising home prices last month, pointing to a stabilizing property sector, according to the National Bureau of Statistics. In February, 55 out of 70 large- and medium-sized cities saw month-on-month increases in new home prices, up from 36 in January. Meanwhile, 40 cities witnessed higher prices of existing homes, compared to just 13 in the previous month. The bureau said that the property market is still under adjustment and will gradually stabilize as the overall economy and market expectations improve. Xinhua News Agency
Young Indian Investors and Professionals Are Boosting Dubai’s Property Market
The total investments from India in Dubai’s real estate market this year is expected to reach US$4.2 billion, a significant spike from 2022, industry experts said. This is partly due to the introduction of the new 10-year Golden Visa initiative in October, which allows investors and professionals to obtain permanent residence in the U.A.E. “Traditionally, the types of Indian investors in the U.A.E.’s real estate market are primarily businessmen, high-net-worth individuals and institutional investors, besides real estate developers,” said Adil Akhtar, founder and CEO of Foremen Fiefdom, the Dubai-based real estate investment consultancy. “However, we are witnessing a paradigm shift in the investor profiles, which is the emergence of younger investors, too.” Arabian Business
