Charming animal interactions FTW. By the wonderful Grace Farris.
P.S. What we’re doing this Friday and 7 Instagram reels that will make you laugh.
I love all the dog accounts and for some reason I get tons of clips of Chicago Med. I can’t stop watching them, even though it is completely terrible. And, God forgive me, I am anxious for the return of BamaRushTok.
I hate to be this person, but I deleted TikTok for Lent and have not missed it for a single minute since then! I was always being fed drama no matter what side of it I was on (SO much drama on BookTok of all places!) and it was such a time suck. I truly don’t need a constant influx of product recommendations or new ways to feel anxious about not optimizing my life. The only thing I do miss is the recipes, but that’s what the entire rest of the Internet is for! Now if I need a mindless distraction I read a book or play Solitaire, which is not productive but potentially uses a few more brain cells on my part. I highly recommend taking a TikTok break and seeing if your life improves!
Also to time capsule a moment, my current FYP trend is “beige flag.”
Haha these days I have a lot of diagnosing-me-with-autism-ADHD-hypermobility tiktok, childhood trauma tiktok, classical music tiktok, Russian literature that I’ve never read tiktok, with the occasional sprinkling of health tips, cute babies, travel ideas, funny pets, amazing dancers, etc. I am not particularly proud of my current FYP, but alas, it’s what I have created!
I would caution anyone to take their FYP too seriously, you don’t know if the algorithm is trying to make you to think a certain way. A lot of gossipy-engendering clips are out of context, and some of the deep fakes are harder and harder to decipher. Enjoy it, don’t let it affect your dopamine levels, proceed with caution.
Lol. Love this! Except, I would put get ready with me at the bottom, not all that interested 🙂
Getting new ideas all the time and trying them even if crazeeeeed! Also helping grandkids with their maths homework- who knew. I’m relearning- they’re learning. GERIATRIC WIN 👵🏿💯
YES!! My friend and I were joking about how EVERYONE tends to throw a random classic like The Portrait of Dorian Gray or War and Peace into their pile of YA, murder mystery, and NYT best sellers. Amazing.
Sassy farmer tok. Internal tiktok drama tok. Super speed “so easy” recipe tok. Medical drama repost follow for part 2 tok.
If you’re not watching the chicken wars then what are you doing with your life?!?
All of the above but also my tiktok is a lot of incredible activist and political speeches (I love a fiery school board meeting clip). and a lot of farmers with their posses of chickens following them making threatening remarks. It’s very silly I’m obsessed.
also make up tutorials!
hahah yes! except I would eliminate three from the list all together 🙂
We are on different TikTok. Travel hacks, almond mom sketches, vintage jewelry, millennial teen nostalgia, recipes, dance class routines, interviews about dating/sex with various funny people in New York, skincare and makeup products I should or should not buy, videos narrated by babies or dogs, various cosmetic procedures
Yes, especially to #5. I would add cooking videos of all kinds. I don’t care who it is or what they’re cooking, I’m watching!
#CLEANTOK, cmonnnnnn!!
Haha! Yes, I’m in my mid 30s and tiktok insists that I care about Selena Gomez, her ex-boyfriend, and his wife.
I love FoodTok!
I absolutely adore Christian and Maybelline Perez, who have a TikTok account called #lovesoreal. He wears a long black wig and a butt pad and rocks his wife’s skin tight outfits and three inch heels while skewering her in an ongoing series called #actinglikemywife. He’s an absolute comic genius.
Ha! Spot on.
Here’s your answer.
I haven’t danced in the streets even once!

Here’s my inner monologue…
