News: Mansion Global Wins 4 NAREE Awards

Mansion Global was honored with four awards in the The National Association of Real Estate Editors (NAREE) 74th Annual Real Estate Journalism Competition. Our print publication, Mansion Global Experience Luxury, was recognized with a Gold award for Best Design, Home or Shelter Magazine and the site  won Silver for Best Real Estate Web Site. In the Best Video Real Estate Report Online or Broadcast – Streaming or Television category, the Mansion Global team took home two awards—Silver for “Design Spotlight: Jersey City – Mansion or Art Gallery? Milan, Italy’s economic powerhouse, has welcomed a steady stream of new wealth since the country created a tax law in 2017 appealing to the world’s ultra rich. Yet the city rarely makes its way into the mainstream zeitgeist outside of seasonal Fashion Weeks, and often plays second fiddle to tourist destinations like Rome, Florence and Venice. From the city’s imposing, Gothic cathedral and hidden piazzas to the exquisite local restaurants and effortless style of the Milanese, charm abounds. Q&A With Chava Gourarie, Reporter

Tell us a bit about your journalistic background.
I’ve spent the majority of my journalistic career reporting on commercial real estate, primarily in New York and Florida. As a reporter, I feel like I lucked into the world of real estate, because the high-stakes combined with ambition, wealth, ego and excess create never-ending drama. 

What are you most excited about exploring within the luxury real estate market?
Design. Coming from commercial real estate, the main difference that strikes me in luxury real estate is that housing is less about function than about optimization, so there’s an opportunity to explore all aspects of living life to its maximum. Particularly, looking at how design can create spaces that foster what’s most important to each person individually, whether that’s about lifestyle, nature, leisure or family. 

How would you describe the current state of the market?
The housing market in general is still pulling in for a landing after the turbulent changes brought on by the pandemic—and that’s true for the luxury market, too. There is still a lot of migration, as well as jitteriness in the markets as the Fed slows down its interest rate run-up, so there are a lot of moving parts. That said, while prices have come down from their 2022 peaks, the luxury market is still incredibly active and many newly popular markets keep testing new heights.
