The Queen's funeral on Monday, September 19 is set to be viewed by billions across the globe, including millions of Lancastrians. The day has been declared a Bank Holiday, and as a result Lancashire schools, business and landmarks will close.
The funeral is scheduled for 11am at Westminster, with the procession taking Elizabeth II on her final journey, setting off at 10am. The BBC, ITV and major news channels around the world will be broadcasting the state event live, with coverage of the later committal service at St George’s Chapel also scheduled to air live.
A number of venues across Lancashire have confirmed they will remain open for and will be screening the broadcast. Below is a round-up of places open for the public, with some requiring advance booking.

The cinema chain will show the procession and funeral from 10am on their big screens for free, with guests able to book their seats in advance. As a result, normal film programming will be affected.
Cineworld, Odeon and Showcase cinemas will also close on Monday, September 19.
Guests attending the funeral screenings will also be offered a complimentary bottle of water during the broadcast. Below are the Lancashire venues screening the funeral.

The UK's biggest pub group Stonegate has confirmed they will open for the duration of the funeral, showing the funeral wherever possible. The hospitality giant has a number of flagship pubs and venues across Lancashire, including The Adelphi and Slug & Lettuce, both in Preston, Bay Horse in Chorley and Walkabout in Blackpool,
A spokesperson for Stonegate Group said: "The passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is a momentous and sombre occasion. We send our deepest condolences to the Royal Family at this sad time. Our managed pubs, bars and venues remain open and, where possible, will show the funeral on Monday 19 September to honour her life and service."
Additionally, The Spinners at Cowling in Chorley has also confirmed it will be showing the funeral "for people to watch together" and serving food from midday to 7pm, and free tea and coffee from 11am.
While the top-ratedMorecambe York Hotel on Lancaster Road in the seaside town invites those who wish to pay their respects to join them on Sunday and/or Monday (September 18/19) where they will raise a glass of port and serve a complimentary buffet as the Queen's funeral goes ahead. Doors will open at 10.30am.
Lowther Pavilion
The venue in Lytham will open its doors at 10am to welcome people in to watch the funeral together, with seats allocated on a first come, first serve basis, with pre-booking not required.
Chorley Theatre
Visitors are invited to the theatre to watch the funeral broadcast for free. It will be non-ticketed and doors will open at 9am.
