The court wrapped up oral arguments for the term this week. Yesterday, some U.S. Supreme Court justices leaned toward some level of protection for U.S. presidents while others raised concerns of accountability as it tackled Trump’s claim of immunity from prosecution for trying to undo his 2020 election loss. Earlier in the week the justices appeared split over Idaho’s strict abortion ban in medical emergencies. The court also heard a case involving Starbucks’ challenge to a judicial order requiring it to rehire seven employees who were fired for unionizing and scrutinized anti-camping laws used against the homeless.
