Did you guess Wednesday’s Wordle?
The object of the online word game is to guess a secret five-letter word in six tries or less. If any of the letters in a guess appear highlighted in green, it means that letter is in the right place in the correct answer. A letter highlighted in yellow means that letter is in the correct answer, but it’s in the wrong space. Letters highlighted in gray aren’t in the puzzle answer.
Here’s a hint to Wednesday’s Wordle:
Wednesday’s answer is all about the number two — if you need to ask for something two times you’ll be asking not once, but this. The word also contains two vowels.

You can only guess five letter words on Wordle.
The Wordle answer for August 17 is “TWICE.”
According to Merriam-Webster, twice means “two times : in doubled quantity or degree.”
The word of the day for Tuesday was “GRUEL.”
Wordle releases a new word of the day every day. Players must wait until midnight for a new word of the day and can only play once a day.
