Huawei never disappoints its consumers and keeps bringing new updates for each device. However, this is the season of HarmonyOS 3.0 interface and the company is keenly focusing on pushing off the latest system to all its eligible products. In the newest development, Huawei Watch 3 begins to collect the beta 2 of HarmonyOS 3.0 firmware.
Surprisingly, the second beta of HarmonyOS 3.0 for the corresponding smartwatch users packs a handful of new tweaks in its pocket. Hence, one must sneak into this update and check the new additions for their classy wearables.
As per the new details, HarmonyOS 3.0 beta 2 firmware for Huawei Watch 3 series is rolling out with 3.0.0.101 (C00E101R1P101log). Alongside, users will get a hulk-sized software package of 304MB.
Thus, make ample room in your device beforehand, to store the firmware conveniently. Since it is a beta update, users running their Watch 3 device with a baseline version of 2.1.0.239 will only be able to install and experience the new firmware.
What’s new in the second beta of HarmonyOS 3.0?
Coming on to the new features, the second HarmonyOS 3.0 beta adds more enhancements in the Super Device mode. Apart from the Bluetooth headsets, it now supports strong interconnection with glasses and fitness equipment.
As a result, users can control and access better workouts and can even manage them with their wearable. Besides, now you can efficiently connect your watch with glasses, and Bluetooth headphones, and listen to music even while exercising.
On the other hand, there is now a new golf course sports mode that provides more ease and comfort while playing the golf game. Though, currently, the function only supports some specific golf course areas.

So, get set and go to the Huawei Health application on your smartphone and install the new features-oriented update now. But make sure, that your smartwatch and smartphone are in adequate Bluetooth range. Further, your wearable must have more than 20% of battery level to conduct the installation procedure.

Huawei is rolling out a new software update for the Chinese unit of Huawei P50 devices and it brings a brand new super fast charging mode for the flaghip.
According to the information, Huawei P50 devices are getting HarmonyOS to build version 3.0.0.190/191. It’s observed that the update is rolling out for the P50 series including the P50E smartphone. Since it’s a big software update, Huawei P50 series phones with HarmonyOS will have to download an OTA package size of 1.09 GB.
To be mentioned, the software update is out for P50 models running HarmonyOS 3.0 software version. However, the changelog is quite interesting because it brings a new super fast turbo charging mode for the Huawei P50 lineup. Available information reveals that this charging mode will enhance the charging speed to provide a better smartphone charging experience.
Some users in the Huawei community speculated that the phone would now increase its charging capacity. However, that depends on the hardware and it’s possible via software update. Yet, the new firmware version could optimize the use case and power distribution for the smartphone.

Huawei has released December 2022 security patch details for HarmonyOS smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, and other users. It’s a big progress and came amid Huawei’s testing a new HarmonyOS version.
According to the information, the Huawei HarmonyOS December 2022 security patch addresses security vulnerabilities that have been fixed by security patch level 2022-12-01 or the updated HarmonyOS software version.
There are various bugs and issues fixed in this security patch that will help your HarmonyOS smartphone to fight better against software threats.
As revealed in the bulletin, it applies fixes to 10 CVEs in the Kernel section, 5 CVEs in the system, and 5 CVEs in the application section. The latest security patch fixes 5 CVEs in the Framework section.
To be mentioned, there are no new CVEs fixed in the third-party library section. Do not forget that this bulletin includes CVEs of critical, high, and medium levels of the threat level.
Furthermore, December 2022 HarmonyOS security bulletin showcases threats for HarmonyOS 2.0, HarmonyOS 2.1, and HarmonyOS 3.0. As for now, we’ve not noted the latest security patch rollout for Huawei devices but it’ll soon be out with the OTA firmware update rollout method.

Two new Chinese industry partners have recently launched Jinhong OS operating system based on the open source Huawei HarmonyOS, OpenHarmony.
According to information, Jinhong OS is supported by China’s Tianjin Port Group and Shenzhen Kaihong Digital Industry Development also known as Shenkaihong.
Details reveal that Jinhong is a full-scenario distributed operating system based on OpenHarmony and specially designed for the port industry. Such an operating system could be helpful for the industry player and ease the tasks.
Also, it’s the first OpenHarmony industry-distributed operating system commercially used for the port industry. Building a unified base for digital twins of ports, it’s supported by Huawei’s port industrial internet platform.
That’s not it, the OS could drive integration of multiple devices, breakthrough hardware limitations and industry boundaries, adapt cross-device smart collaboration interaction and connect all elements of the port such as ships, machines, people, and the environment.
This would result in a comprehensive connection between all of the devices and data, enabling multiple scenarios such as device operation and Maintainance, digital perception, decision-making assistance, digital care, and more.
The HarmonyOS based Jinhong OS will help to conduct efficient operation of the port business and support the creation of a comprehensive industrial internet-based smart port.
